Decree-Law no. 99/2024, of December 3, published yesterday, transposes EU legislation on the promotion of energy from renewable sources, amending the legal framework for environmental impact assessment (Decree-Law no. 151-B/2013, of October 31) and the law establishing the organization and operation of the National Electricity System (Decree-Law no. 15/2022, of January 14).
The decree is part of the ongoing trend to simplify administrative procedures and aims to increase the competitiveness of the Portuguese industrial sector.
